FEB 07 i've just finished setting up my new studio conveniently located for transport links around London and elsewhere (underground, national rail or M25 / M1). it's not always necessary to have a meeting at my studio, but it can be very beneficial for thrashing out ideas soon after work on a project has begun MARCH 07 recently finished a solo work which you can download here. it's a layered, experimental piece with an electronic feel APRIL 07 awaiting the rough cuts for one or more films i'm about to score for ALRA. in the meantime, I've been improving my conducting skills (most of the music here is electronically-produced, however I can direct instrumental/choral recordings) JUNE 07 just finished two short films for "The Academy of Live and Recorded Arts" - both directed by Peter Cregeen. one was a horror-comedy set within a late-night cinema, the other a sitcom-style piece about escapades at an airport. both will be shown at clapham picture house on 29th June SEPT 07 been upgrading much of my studio gear - including software to create choral music (including words) NOV 07 after discussions with the director, i'll be starting work soon on the music for a documentary about crime / anti-social behaviour on a Kent housing estate. i'm also working on the score for another short film APRIL 08 using some sophisticated audio techniques i've improved some old band recordings for a rock cd (if you have any recordings you'd like to 'clean up' yourself - speeches, theatre videos etc - get in touch) JUNE 08 i've been doing a lot of work on the audio/production side, perfecting my mixing techniques etc. - i've also been developing a news theme JULY 08 the documentary mentioned earlier was shown July 4th at a local screening in Tunbridge Wells - a number of people mentioned how effective they felt the music was, and overall the film seemed to "hit the spot" AUGUST 08 just finished putting together a new portfolio cd. it's a better reflection of my work so far than the one from 2006, so if you'd like a copy, get in touch. it's free!! NOVEMBER 08 my electric guitar has been brought out of temporary retirement... i'm playing in an indie/rock concert early next year (details to follow). i've also used it, often combining with other instruments, on many scoring projects MARCH 09 i am working on a solo project of my own (details to follow, i hope) as well as co-producing and mixing/mastering a rock CD for a new london-based band SEPT 09 development has begun on a web-accessible range of downloadable tracks, either to be situated here on this website or via existing production libraries. this means you will be able to browse and select existing work which you can then licence for use in your own projects FEB 10 finished two weeks' work on a DVD documentary to be distributed to schools concerning kids being left at home alone by their parents - the music is with the production studio now and i'm looking forward to seeing how it all comes out
to request a copy of my portfolio cd, which includes full-length versions of all the above as well as more music and information about the projects themselves click here
